In marketing, there is a goal that many people don’t know or understand the reason behind. The goal of marketing is to facilitate to the customer the message being sent by the business and how it is going to be perceived as a mutually beneficial exchange relationship. In marketing, this concept means customers are also trading time, trust, emotions, and expectations for value. The “real” exchange is about the benefits, experiences, and identity that come with the purchase. For example, when people buy a Tesla, they’re trading their money for innovation, status, and sustainability. Their value goes beyond having a Tesla; it is more about their values and the message they are giving to their clientele , that they are the future, they are sustainable, and they have innovation that no one else will have. They sell an experience that makes people keep going back. This is an example of marketing exchange along with many different brands that also work this way!
